WORLD FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE
The World Fellowship Committee is responsible to keep members informed about International World Fellowship recipients who are studying in Ohio. The committee will maintain personal contact with recipients who are in Ohio. The committee will encourage chapters to arrange for collections of voluntary contributions to support the International program.

World Fellowship Fundraising Ideas – Ohio State Organization
The following list was compiled from suggestions collected from Ohio State Organization members. We hope that this will provide you with inspiration to collect funds for donation to the International World Fellowship Fund, which provides women from other countries the opportunity to study in Canada and the United States.

- Pass the basket at a set meeting or month
- “Worldly” Dessert Fair
- Silent Raffle – local businesses or members donate items for the raffle
- White Elephant Sale
- A “Pound” Sale – bring a pound of anything and have an auction
- Make a “change” for World Fellowship – pass a change jar
- Direct member appeal – World Fellowship program
- 50-50 Drawing - proceeds go to World Fellowship Fund
- Sewing project – potholders, aprons, etc. to sell
- Donation from chapter treasury
- Pass the hat
- International Food Fest
- Loose change donation
- Purse, scarf and jewelry auction
- Christmas ornament exchange or auction – ornaments from foreign countries
- Drawing for a quilt
- A penny for each mile you traveled for vacation
- Calendar project – keep a jar on your counter to collect change for World Fellowship. Each member is given a calendar with days marked for special donations (a nickel for each grandchild, a penny per pair of shoes in your closet, a dime if you forgot to kiss your husband etc.) Bring each month to DKG meeting to put in the World Fellowship Fund.
- Articles from your travels for centerpieces at a World Fellowship auction
- Pay a fine if you forgot to wear you DKG pin or nametag
- Program by a fellowship recipient
- Trivia contest about countries the World Fellowship recipients come from
- Bakeless Bake Sale
- Introductory tea for foreign students attending a local college
- Pass out small baggies for members to collect change for World Fellowship
- International dinner with another chapter – proceeds go to World Fellowship
- Costume parade of countries where World Fellowship recipients are from
- Shoebox care packages for World Fellowship recipients
- A nickel or dime for each item in your purse
- Weigh purses – collect a nickel for each ounce
- Thanksgiving – fill a cornucopia with donations and a blessing received from being in DKG over the year (blessings are shared with members in the newsletter)
- World Affairs Night – ethnic food, info about World Fellowship, assign countries to members to research regarding their schools and educators
- Invite foreign students to a chapter meeting
- Luncheon with a guest speaker(may be a chapter member) who has traveled to a foreign country and has awareness of its educational needs.
- Small fundraisers, such as trivia games, at chapter meetings
- Brown bag auctions. - Donations($5-$10)are made to obtain a number. The member then receives the brown bag that matches her number.
- Publicity regarding World Fellowship program.
- Small boxes are given to members to collect their spare change each day. Collect twice a year and donate to the World Fellowship Fund.
